My name is Kevin Sipp, MA, LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and currently counsel in Longmont, CO. I work to help you inspect your past, engage your present, and take hold of your future.

I am owner and founder of Sipp Counseling Services, LLC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and on staff with the Calvary Church Counseling Center in Longmont, which serves a client base spanning from Denver to Fort Collins.

I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Before that, I worked as a commercial banker for 10 years. Working in a cubicle was not the most exciting job, but it is where I began my own counseling process, naming and facing past abuse, broken relationships, and unrest with God. Through this process of knowing myself and knowing God, I tasted freedom, became a man that did not demand, and began to move: move towards God, move towards others, and move into the chaos of this world.

I enjoy working with a broad range of clients including individuals, adolescents, couples, and families. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, spiritual formation, pre-marital and marital counseling, infertility, addiction, and personality disorders. I use an integrative and relational approach and am well-oriented in several therapeutic methodologies including Gestalt, Existential, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy.

My Approach

Broken relationships, tragic events, deep rejection, and unspeakable abuse all contribute to the unrest and pain in your life.  I believe there is hope for you.  Hope for healing, reunion with others, and a way to awaken the deep longings and desires of your heart even if the events and people of your past tell you otherwise.  I strive for counseling to be a pathway for you to have a life characterized by wholeness, vulnerability, and risk.  It is a divine task for you to be known in the sacred places of your life as well as you having the opportunity to know others in the very same way.

The Counseling Process

Most people come to counseling as a final attempt to gain relief in some aspect of life.  The counseling process can at times feel awkward, unnatural, embarrassing, and intimidating.  Counseling is not a quick fix, however, to the extent you are willing to do the hard work of exploring your past, be vulnerable and honest with me (and yourself), counseling can be a place where profound healing occurs.

As you look for a counselor, it is important to find someone you feel comfortable with, who understands you, and that you trust.  We will work together to resolve the issues that brought you into counseling.  I will offer you all of my education, training and expertise to make sense of your struggles, but insight and technique can only get you so far.  It is in our counseling relationship where you will experience care and support as you face the most difficult issues in your life.

I hope to come alongside you and offer a safe and trusting place for you to work through the deep complexity your story holds.  After all, you are hard-wired to tell your story.  It is healing to tell your story to another.  As one of my professors used to say, you are your healthiest when you listen and tell (your story).  Who are you? Who are you, really?  Be curious of this question, and I hope that I am given the incredible honor of hearing your story.
